Get to know your machine

I offer a one hour lesson to help you learn to thread and use your overlocker and sewing machines.

Don’t let them sit in a cupboard.

Servicing your machine

A breakdown of what a service covers?

• Visual check of presser foot and needle plate
• Checking the timing of mechanisms.
• Checking the tension.
• Check of the drive belt
• A full clean to remove lint, dust. and any old oil or grease
• Fresh lubrication as needed
• I also clean the machine outside as needed. 
• Visual inspection of electrical leads – I can PAT Testing if required

 I always start the service with a new needle before undertaking a sewing test.

When complete, the final sewing test sample will be left with your machine to show I am confident with the result.

Should  any parts be required please be aware these are an extra charge. I will endeavour to find any parts price and availability, then discuss with the owner for their permission before buying the part.

Pat Testing for your sewing machines

I am able to Pat Test your sewing machines for any workshops.

I can do this as part of the service if you require it.

If needing for a workshop I need 48 hours notice to arrange to meet your machine.

Machines can be dropped off for service – please be aware I do not have a shop.

I can collect, at an agreed time.

Please be aware that I charge £5 if over 10 miles for collection.
